Film: A Single Man (2009)

Film: A Single Man
Year: 2009
Director: Tom Ford
Tom Ford has created this film in a way that is artistically creative and disinctive. It takes a poetic influence and draws attention to minute details in a strikingly visual way.
The film is set in 1962. George Falconer (Colin Firth), an English professor, has recently lost his partner Jim who died in a car accident many months before. The film focuses on one day of George's life- the day that he is planning to be his last. The film follows George through his suicide preparations and introduces people who are part of his life and concerned for his welfare. These people include a Spanish male who has recently arrived in America, his old friend Charley and one of his students named Kenny Potter.
